Do you have personal experience with or a connection to chronic urticaria?
First, let me say I am honored to serve as a Board Member for We CU, our new patient advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with chronic urticaria.
My personal connection to this condition, combined with my professional experience treating and managing urticaria patients in Allergy & Immunology and leading Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, fuels my passion for amplifying patient voices and ensuring they receive the support they need.
Throughout my career, I have worked with patient organizations, medical societies, and the biopharmaceutical industry, where I’ve witnessed the critical role of patient-centered education, advocacy, and equitable access to innovative therapies.
Why did you want to be involved with We CU?
I joined We CU because I believe in its mission and the opportunity to build a strong foundation rooted in collaboration, trust, and meaningful patient impact.
What will success look like for We CU a year from now?
In our first year, success means empowering patients with resources, raising awareness of our first-ever, fully dedicated chronic urticaria patient organization in the U.S., and building partnerships with health care leaders and organizations who support our mission.
What has kept you motivated to work in this field?
I continue to be inspired by the resilience of patients and families navigating chronic conditions, and I am deeply grateful for the mentors and colleagues who have shaped my journey with their servant leadership.
What are some of your hobbies or activities that you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of my professional work, I find joy in spending time with family, exploring the outdoors, and supporting community initiatives that bring people together.
